How do I get started?
Once you complete the Initial Intake Questionnaire, we will set up the following:
30-Minute Goal-Setting and Introduction Phone Call: Opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback on your current situation.
FinalSurge Setup: We will assist in getting you set up on the platform.
Payment Options: We will discuss payment methods, including Venmo, ApplePay, or Zelle.
How will my training be structured?
Weekly Coaching: Training will be entered into FinalSurge by each Sunday, with feedback and adjustments based on your eHort level and how you’re feeling.
Planning: I aim to input your customized training plan two weeks in advance and will adjust weekly as necessary to meet your needs
How will we communicate?
For Workout Feedback & Questions: Use FinalSurge to comment on your workouts, share your Rating of Perceived Exertion (RPE), and describe how you felt during training. I will respond to your big workouts and long runs each week.
Immediate Workout Questions: If you have urgent questions about pacing, reps, or technique, please text me, and I’ll respond ASAP. You can also put in the comments of the workout in FinalSurge a few days in advance, too, and I will get a notification.
Injuries, Illness, & Events: If something comes up—whether it’s an injury, sickness, or unexpected life event—please comment or use the note feature in FinalSurge. For any upcoming travel or vacation, use the label feature to mark it.
General Communication: You can text, call, or email me anytime. I aim to respond within 2 to 6 hours depending on the time/day.
Monthly Check-Ins: Online athletes will have monthly check-ins scheduled, and in-person athletes (local to Albuquerque, NM) can have monthly meetups.
Race Plans: I like to chat about race strategies before major races via text or phone.
Race Review: I will ask you to respond to the following questions post-race (with opportunity for more, as needed )
What went well? What are you most proud of?
What was a key learning lesson, or something to keep in mind and adapt to for next time?
State-of-Health Checkin: Howa are you feeling mentally, physically, emotionally, and what are you looking forward to next? Any feedback for me or anything I should know about our training block?
Group Updates: I’ll send out group emails periodically with discounts, highlights, and news.
